How to Choose the Right Area for You

Compare areas based on your overall travel style if you’re going with your family, solo, or on a romantic couple getaway. The area you choose can make a huge difference in vibes, budget, and my favorite, proximity to attractions. We loved not having to do anything but walk out of the hotel to the many attractions, restaurants, and shops.

If you’re visiting with a baby or toddler, check out my Family Packing List! That way you won’t miss a thing (:

Tips Before Booking

  • Things to keep in mind!
    • Traffic between European & Asian sides
    • Airport transportation (whether it’s free, available or an additional cost)
    • Seasonal considerations (summer crowds vs. winter charm) We visited in November during the shoulder season, and it was perfect: fewer crowds, cooler weather, and cheaper prices.
